Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to analyze and find the different variables who can influence the beauty and visual appeal of an image, screenshot or picture on a mobile phone device. The thesis is divided in different sections. The first section is dedicated to the introduction with the presentation of the subject, my motivation and the problem statement. The second part is dedicated to the literature review. It is an overview of the researches and studies previously done about the subject. I will mention the GUI, the history of aesthetics, the information system, the web mobile development and the globalisation. The third part is dedicated to the SPSS statistical analysis, the result and the conclusions we can deduct.The main part of the thesis is the statistical analysis. The process is summed up like this: analysing the different metrics of 180 screenshots extracted from the software Questim with the SPSS software. Before the analysis, the data are merged with the ratings of the screenshots given by the applicants.The final objective would be to extrapolate a model that allows to create the best mix of variables according to the results extracted from the SPSS statistical analysis.
