- The rapid proliferation of digital technology has fundamentally transformed the landscape of language learning, providing students with a variety of online tools designed to enhance their linguistic competencies. This study delves into the utilization of online language tools by students specializing in multilingual communication and studying Business English, examining the types of tools employed, the contexts in which they are used, and the influence of self-efficacy on their usage patterns. Through a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, the research offers a perspective on how these tools are integrated into the academic routines of multilingual students. The quantitative analysis reveals that online dictionaries are the most frequently used tools, highlighting the importance of precise language comprehension in business communication. Students predominantly access these resources via computers and mobile phones, underscoring the convenience and ubiquity of digital devices in modern learning. The qualitative insights expose the diverse strategies students employ for reading comprehension and the nuanced ways in which they leverage online tools to support language-related activities. The study also explores the role of self-efficacy, demonstrating its impact on the motivation, persistence, and strategic application of online language tools. The findings of this study hold implications for language learners, suggesting the need for strategic approaches to using online language tools and the importance of developing learners’ awareness of the diverse features and resources available within them. The study concludes by considering the implications of the findings and suggesting areas for future research to further explore the integration of technology in language learning curricula.
