- Abstract
- The aim of this research is to understand the various influences that prevent investors from really buying low and selling high. We live in a time when people are investing more and more of their money, particularly in the equity market. In reality, only 10% of investors are profitable over a year. But the principle seems simple: buy low and sell high. In reality, a number of factors influence decisions and prevent investors from achieving the objectives they have set themselves. This dissertation will therefore analyse why so many investors fail to perform as they expect, through the influence of psychological bias, external influences and different investment strategies.
