- This master thesis centers on the Smart Sampling algorithm, a statistical model checking algorithm, with the aim of enhancing its effectiveness and efficiency. The research journey begins with the comprehension of multiple theorical concepts following by a series of experiments conducted on both existing and especially created models, manipulating a specific algorithm parameter. Subsequently, a modified version of the algorithm is proposed to address the challenges identified during the experimentation phase. Finally, improvements to the algorithm are presented and validated through their application to various use cases. Through this study, valuable insights and advancements are made towards optimizing the Smart Sampling algorithm for more accurate and efficient statistical model checking.
