Abstract
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the emails you receive every day? Or have you ever felt stressed at the thought of having to reply to all the messages you receive? Rest assured, you are not alone. The last few years have seen major advances in new technologies. We have never been as connected as we are today, and yet this does not make us any happier. In fact, one phenomenon has gained in intensity: infobesity. Infobesity is characterised by a major information overload that creates burnout in those who suffer from it. It has a number of consequences for the quality of life of sufferers: loss of concentration, stress, impact on decision-making, etc. In this thesis, we propose to take a closer look at one of these consequences which is communication fatigue.
