Abstract

enThis master thesis deals with clear communication in the medical and paramedical environment. It attempts to list the strategies used to simplify communication with patients, and then to assess whether these strategies are effective. To do this, interviews were carried out with medical and paramedical professionals, and a survey was also conducted. The survey received 52 responses. The results show that using simple words, explaining specialist terms, explaining the patient's situation by transposing it to something familiar to them, and using drawings were the strategies applied by the people interviewed. The questionnaire showed that clear communication strategies are effective.
