Abstract
This paper aims at understanding the impact between Generative Artificial Intelligence and IT consulting companies’ sector. We focus on two aspects GAI: Efficiency and ethical concerns of GAI. Indeed, we would like to know how GAI impacts the productivity of IT companies and what are the concerns related to ethics. Therefore, to conduct this study, we first theoretically define the two concepts, GAI and IT consulting. We describe their history, their definition, the application of GAI and negative points. Afterwards, we make a study following an exploration method. We use qualitative data collected through six interviews and after that we code these based on a inductive approach. For the analysis, we make categories of IT consulting companies based on their disciplinary, either multidisciplinary or specialized IT Companies. Later on we find the links between the impact of GAI and the category of consulting companies. This difference led to differences for both efficiency and ethical concerns.
