- Abstract
- Societies around the world are experiencing an aging population with a growing proportion of older people. This is the result of increasing longevity and low fertility rates, particularly in Japan and parts of Europe, where, according to the WHO, by 2030 one in six people worldwide will be 60 years of age or older. In this report, we compare and analyze the state of aging in Japan, Germany, and Italy and the measures being taken to combat it.
