Abstract
In today’s society, the importance of technology is unquestionable. Teenagers’ use of digital tools has increased steadily over the last years. It has significantly impacted many areas of our everyday life, including teaching methodologies. The implications of this research project contribute to the existing literature on digital tools in educational context and provide insights for teachers trying to enhance English language teaching through the use of technological tools. In the present dissertation, the aim intended is to analyze and investigate the potential benefit of implementing digital tools in classrooms to support English language learning, with a specific focus on the integration of Padlet as a means to promote the articulation between writing and speaking skills. The findings have shown that Padlet is a great pre-writing tool that facilitates some specific speaking tasks. The results also highlight that Padlet influences mostly positively students’ participation and attitudes during speaking activities, which enhances their willingness to speak but not necessarily grammatical accuracy.
