Abstract
This study links lexical resources to the economic performance of an organization. We applied a text complexity indexing algorithm to the white papers of 2501 ICOs. This manoeuvre allowed us to identify 26 parameters that give a complete and diversified description of the lexical complexity of a document. Based on artificial intelligence, this study allowed us to identify a correlation between the complexity of the white paper and the success of the ICO financing phase. Supported by these results, it seems that this variable can be used to identify the projects with the highest chance of success. Moreover, we found that the impact of complexity is reduced at the end of the ICO and that it does not explain the success of the project as a whole. We also discovered other elements that influence this impact such as the level of regulation or the level of English in the country of the ICO. From a global point of view, it seems that lexical resources are an important element in the economic success of an organization. It is therefore important to develop knowledge and research on the subject.
