- Abstract
- This thesis aims to understand the difficulties of Belgian companies exporting to the UK in the food and beverage sector for the organisation Hub.Brussels. Another objective is to improve the exports of Belgian companies to the UK after Brexit with the support of Hub. Brussels. We will only focus on the food and beverage sector as this sector has undergone a lot of changes due to Brexit. The first part will define the context in which trade between Belgium and the UK has evolved. We will present the context of Brexit, the links between the UK and Belgium and the new and old requirements for exporting to the UK. The second part is the explanation of the methodology used. We conducted nine interviews with different actors that we qualified as key actors to answer our research question. The third part will allow us to understand the UK food and beverage market and to analyse the different difficulties encountered by Belgian SMEs when exporting to the UK. Finally, we were able to draw up a list of recommendations for the Hub.Brussels agency.
