Abstract
The B Corp certification aims to balance economic, social and environmental aspects by blurring the boundary between the for-profit and nonprofit sector by adopting a sustainable approach while making profit (Roth et al, 2018). This recognition also makes it possible to highlight and dissociate responsible companies that truly integrate social and environmental aspects into their strategy from those that just pretend to do so (Klaber et al, 2011). The aim of this thesis will be to apply the theory of this certification to the Belgian company Spadel. To this end, in this thesis we have developed an innovative and alternative solution to conventional plastic, namely PET plastic, in the bottled water sector. Through this thesis, the EcoSpaDrink solution will be highlighted, its limitations will be analysed and the opinions of Spadel, the Belgian retail industry and consumers will be studied.
