Abstract
The objective of this research is to find out what the impact is of the increasing reliance on the reintroduction of border controls within the Schengen area. The measures taken in both the current health crisis and the migration crisis put a lot of pressure on the already weak system of the Schengen area. The question is whether they put the EU project in danger, because they gravely restrict the free movement.
