- Abstract
- The Covid-19 pandemic caused a crisis that had quite negative impacts on many industries. The automotive glass industry is one of them, with a loss of production of more than 4 million vehicles in 2020. Being a very competitive sector with market shares essentially shared by a few large companies and having many challenges to face such as the Covid-19 crisis, one way for companies in this sector to stand out is to reduce their costs. AGC Automotive Europe, a giant in this sector, is thus looking to reduce its distribution costs and find a more efficient way to control them as several problems occur such as the absence of some of them. This master’s thesis aims to analyze their distribution costs and find a way to detect the missing ones. Through the application of the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) and the different tools developed in Microsoft Power BI, the distribution costs will be investigated. At the end, the benefits of the tools developed to control distribution costs will be detailed and discussed as well as their limitations.
