- Abstract
- In recent years, the transformation of companies towards collaborative and liberated management systems has raised several questions in the research field. In this period, the world is also undergoing major changes at all levels. It seems to be important to study how companies take the step to change their management style, considering both external and internal factors. In addition to knowing how to look at these companies, it is crucial to study and define the leadership capable of leading a transformation in the company and above all able to maintain, together with its collaborators, the change in the long term. This leadership is meant to be inspiring, motivating, inclusive, and ambitious, and has many functions except that of controlling and dictating actions. At first glance, it is a management style that inspires more freedom and the disappearance of hierarchy; however, it is important to consider the limits of this model and of course the brakes that could hinder the transformation. The purpose of this paper is therefore to explore the fundamentals of collaborative governance and the emergence of liberated enterprises but also changing the position of the leader by adopting a liberating leadership.
