- This master thesis project aims to analyse the choice between outsourcing and insourcing the frozen food part of the logistics of Delhaize. The first two parties aim at setting the context of the company and the current situation to be able to understand the environment on which this project has been conducted. The two next sections aim at building the decision process. On a first place, we create a list of criteria based on the literature. Using those, we build our case scenarios. On a second place, we analyse deeper two criteria: efficiency and cost. For the efficiency criterion, we analyse the possibilities in terms of mechanization and collaboration with Albert Heijn. For the cost criterion, we make a financial analysis of the different chosen scenarios. In conclusion of our analysis, we arrive at our final recommendations regarding the future of frozen food management at Delhaize.
