- Abstract
- How long has fashion been involved in dance? Is the costume a source of creation for dancers or is it a burden for the elaboration of new movements? Should the dancers' bodies be sublimated by a clothing creation or should they shine with their nudity? The continuation of this research aims to analyse these questions and to decipher them both in a historical approach but also from a contemporary point of view. This paper proposes, on the one hand, the reconstruction of the salient aspects of a history of conscious and programmed interaction; on the other, it takes into consideration certain analogies of concepts between the system of values and keywords arranged by the choreography, and the system of values and keywords arranged by fashion. It is therefore not a general history of dance clothing, but rather a provisional analysis of the possible repercussion that the form of fashion has been able to exert (and still exerts) on the mentality that allows the emergence of choreography as a concept.
