- Abstract
- Numerous finite elements software allow elastic analysis of internal forces in structures with various configurations. If the results of the analysis are problematic, these software do not allow to modify the geometrical characteristics of the structure in order to re-balance the distribution of forces. Graphical computational approaches would allow this if the results of the analysis are transformed into graphic elements such as force polygons that can be manipulated interactively. The purpose of this thesis is to generate, from the analysis result of 2D beam-type finite elements, the force polygons representing the internal forces in the different parts of the structure so that they can be manipulated interactively.
