Abstract
This dissertation researched the disfluency on empirical sight translation studies based on a case study of Chinse-English sight translation. By adopting the qualitative methodology and quantitative methodology, this experiment investigated 10 female Chinse English learners. By analyzing the disfluency makers appearing in their transcripts, this dissertation discussed the difficulties they met and summarized how did they produce these DMs. Last, this dissertation pointed out the reasons for producing DMs and further put forward some suggestions for future teaching interpreting.
