Abstract
This dissertation is focused on nonverbal communication in the workplace. Not only intercultural particularities, but also intercultural trainings in Belgium/France and China/Taiwan are discussed in this work. The objective is to find out to what extent French/Belgian and Chinese/Taiwanese companies are aware of intercultural particularities related to nonverbal communication in the workplace and what importance is given to intercultural trainings in these countries in order to avoid possible misunderstandings during intercultural communication. The paper is divided into three chapters. The first chapter highlights theoretical concepts related to the topic mentioned above, while the two following chapters are oriented towards the methodology as well as the presentation of results of the personal research conducted in Belgian/French and Chinese/Taiwanese companies.
