- Abstract
- The lifecycle of companies is decreasing significantly. It is therefore necessary for companies to embrace change by adapting skills, mindsets, capabilities and processes. Engaging in Innovation is one way to do so. Two innovation strategies have been drawing attention for several years and are seen as strategies with high potential by managers; Open Innovation and Business Model Innovation. Open Innovation is about making the borders of a company less sealed and creating inflows and outflows of knowledge between the company and the external world. Business Model Innovation means changing the way a firm creates, delivers and captures value. The goal of this paper is to see how both concepts help to counter this trend and how they are implemented in the real world of business. For this purpose, an in-depth analysis of Zetes Industries, a company where innovation has always played a central role, has been conducted.
