Abstract
A past project aiming to reduce the workload of the Product Flow team led to investigate the stock transfer process. A first impression stating that the number of stock transfers was abnormally increasing can be refuted. Hence, three different topics emerged: the workload, the responsibilities and the lead time. The use of the Mini-Transformation approach by McKinsey & Company involved the following methodology: the reason of the project, the context, the diagnostic of the current situation, the design of a solution and the assessment of the expected gains through the implementation of the solution. After an anaysis of the potential impacts of the solution designed, the objectives of the project are achieved. The workload induced by the stock transfers is reduced, one clear responsible of the process is defined and the resulting lead time is monitored.
