Abstract
With the evolution of technologies, many solutions exist so that people can be continuously connected to their friends (e.g. Facebook), to their job (e.g. LinkedIn, Outlook), even with famous people (e.g. Twitter, Instagram). However, most of them are not adapted to stay connected with our families by not providing solutions to meet the specific needs of a family living under the same roof. Faced with this lack of solutions in this domain, we present our product: Domus. The aim of our thesis is to explain the different features of our solution as well as the software design work, from the requirements writing to the final production through all the technical aspects. Domus is a smartphone application for every member of a family. Divided into modules, it contains multiple features meeting the needs of people living in the same house (e.g. chat room, shopping lists, loyalty cards, budget, etc.). This application is connected with a backend in the cloud. In order to stand out from most existing solutions, some unique aspects of our application are implemented such as integration between modules so that the user can effortlessly achieve different features that are dependent on each other. Thanks to a good methodology based on the agile approach and a strong collaboration with our supervisor, we were able to achieve our objectives by implementing a functional application that perfectly meets most of the requirements defined beforehand.
