Abstract
This piece of research aims at analyzing the major fashion discourses on ethical and ecological issues. Starting from the observation that, in 2022, the fashion sector is still shaken my media scandals regarding its ethical and ecological commitments, we aim, within the framework of this paper, at defining the communication techniques used by two major fashion industry groups (Kering and Inditex) to understand their communication strategies. In addition, this research will also try to determine the impact of these strategies on the representations that potential consumers might have of these brands. Based on an analysis grid and an online survey, this research will attempt to establish the main guidelines of the ethical and ecological communication of the two groups as well as its influence on consumers.
