Abstract
enThis thesis examines the role of the media in spreading information about the environment and related topics. In order to analyse this issue, I started with an in-depth description of the mass media and the advantages and disadvantages of the different means of communication. Then I discussed the role of the media in transmitting information; to what extent should they limit themselves to neutral transmission of information and to what extent should they give a warning signal ? Then I went into more detail on the subject of environmental journalism, its origins, the role of environmental journalists, etc. In the second part, the practical part, I will analyse the opinions of 75 people on the different topics discussed in the theoretical part. Then I will compare the opinions of the specialists with the results obtained in the survey. Finally, I analysed the way the energy transition was covered by the media and compared my observations with the theory and the opinions gathered in the survey.
