Abstract
Design and implementation of a test bench for an aerospike nozzle allowing the visualization of compressible flow phenomena using the shadowgraph technique. The work is organized in four steps: Pre-design theoretical analysis using compressible flow theory Numerical simulations using the finite elements method with the OpenFOAM softaware Design of the nozzle and description of the pre-existing test bench Experimental results, their analysis and comparison to theory and simulation.
