- Abstract
- For some time now, man has been measuring the flow of rivers. Results are collected, and these statistical data allow us to know our environment, and in particular to be able to dimension engineering structures: bridges, dams... However, the methods used today lag behind the available technology. They are long and expensive, and this is why researchers thought about measuring flow rates by photogrammetry. This science consists of the 3D modeling of objects (flows) from photographs. Nevertheless, the scientific community is facing difficulties due to transparency and water reflections. Our goal will be to study permanent flows, in exemple the water level and flow by photogrammetry, first in a reduced model of a river and with three different flows, and then in five real rivers. This study seeks to complement traditional techniques.
