Les commentaires de traduction, qui constituent la dernière partie de ce mémoire, incluent l’analyse des difficultés rencontrées lors de la traduction et les stratégies et procédures mises en place pour relever les défis de traduction qui se sont posés.This thesis, divided into three parts, is a partial and commented translation of the collective work ‘Triangular Diplomacy among the United States, the European Union, and the Russian Federation: Responses to the Crisis in Ukraine’ edited by Vicki L. Birchfield and Alasdair R. Young in 2018. The introductory part is written in English and raises the question of the identity of the European Union in the world to come. The central part consists of a translation of chapters 5 and 6 of the collective work edited by Birchfield and Young. These chapters discuss the identities of the relevant stakeholders, on the one hand, and the role played by the imposition of sanctions, on the other hand.
