- Consenquently to the COVID-19 outbreak, masks could be considered as one of the main barriers used to contain the virus spread. People around the world were encouraged or obliged to wear it in public places. This study deals about the impact of such mask wearing on sub-maximal physical activities like those performed in everyday life. To represent it, the One-minute sit-to-stand test, highly implemented, was chosen. The study focused on the impact of masks wearing while performing this exertion. Primary outcomes recorded were the breathlessness sensation (dyspnea), the percieved exertion and the comfort while wearing a facial protection. Physiological secondary outcomes such as blood oxygen saturation, heart rate and numbers of breathings were also recorded. The aim of the study was to compare this outcomes to a non-wearing mask condition. Two groups of participants were created, a healthy group and a COVID-19 positive group.
