Abstract
In the 1960s, microgravity experiments were of great interest for the conquest of space but were soon left behind. Nowadays, with the growing development of private space companies we can see a return to the interest in weightless experiments. Currently, there are several solutions on the market. They all offer different advantages and disadvantages regarding the precision of microgravity, the duration of the experiments, the cost and the available space. LIDE, a Belgian start-up, would like to develop a platform to accommodate 0g experiments in the back seat of gliders during parabolic flights, with the front seat reserved for the pilot. It is therefore via UCLouvain that we, students, have done everything possible to develop the mechanical, electronic and software aspects for this platform. In this document you will find the complete design of a platform that can accommodate experiments through the analysis of needs to the detailed design of the solution. You will also find a simulation of a parabolic glider flight to better discern the dynamics of parabolic flights.
