- Abstract
- The aim of this thesis is to identify good practices in post-acquisition integration of small-sized companies into multinationals. The case study of Fast Track Diagnostics (FTD) acquired by Siemens Healthineers (SHS) provides a successful case of integration as reported by SHS. The conceptual framework used to analyse FTD’s integration from the acquired entity’s perspective focuses on the managerial and sociocultural dimension around six aspects: leadership and management capability, organizational structure, corporate culture, human resources processes, human capital and communication. While the thesis only provides an early understanding of the vast integration concepts sought, some key findings enabled us to make recommendations to SHS for future cases of post-acquisition integration.
