Abstract
Communication has become a key factor in the achievement of corporate objectives. Since the professionalization of football clubs, several communication departments have been created and added to the football clubs’ management structures. With the irruption of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT), football clubs have started to communicate in their own communication platforms such as their websites or social media. This study analyses the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the external communication of three football clubs during the lockdown. The aim of this analysis is to assess how football clubs have adapted their external communication on social media during the COVID-19 lockdown.
