Abstract
This research aims to explore the experience of migrant employees in an international non-governmental organization (INGO) in Belgium focused on peacebuilding. Using Bourdieu's notion of habitus and Acker's inequality regimes, I attempt to uncover how organizational norms and practices perpetuate inequalities and shape the experiences of migrant employees. Alongside this, the research looks into how individual factors such as embodied peacebuilding cultural capital, gender, and legal status shape these experiences. Furthermore, I explore the state of lenticularity (Hage, 2021) lived by migrants in their host countries. Findings are discussed along with potential new avenues to address these issues.
