Abstract
The thesis explores the complexity and expression of sustainability tensions in for-profit firms through an empirical study of 15 qualitative interviews in for-profit firms in The Netherlands.The study makes use of social enterprise research to increase the understanding of the complexity and manifestation of sustainability in for-profit firms and complements this with business research related to sustainability.
