Abstract
Business valuation is one of the major issues in finance. Many situations, especially in an investment context, lead to questions about the value of companies and their shares. This thesis presents a synthetic review of the methodologies proposed in financial economics, complemented by other approaches used by practitioners. The thesis provides a series of tools and techniques used by investment banking professionals.
