- In the problem of energy transition and incorporation of renewable energies into an energy system, the interactions between neighbouring countries (imports/exports) play an essential role. In order to study those, this master thesis develops a simplified multi-agent system on an energy system with two agents, primarily focusing on the exchanges of electricity. It relies on the existing energy system modelling tool, EnergyScope Typical Days. Thanks to simple scenarios using two data sets of Belgium (years 2040 and 2050) as agents, the consistency of the model has been verified, along with some limitations and future perspectives. Even if the system seems to be dependent on initial conditions, the simple cases (without storage) have converged to optimal solutions. They prefer exchanging electricity with each other rather than with the outside world. The obtained design and operation of each agent are convincing in that matter. This gives room for future improvements.
