Abstract
This thesis examines the challenges and opportunities associated with the development of ESG structured products within the financial industry. It identifies technical challenges such as the integration of ESG criteria, regulatory obstacles linked to evolving standards, and operational difficulties linked to the balance between standardization and customization. Through case studies, expert interviews and data analysis, the study offers strategic recommendations such as investing in cutting-edge technologies, improving regulatory compliance, and promoting investor education. The results highlight new opportunities, including the growing demand for sustainable investments and technological advances. This work contributes to the literature and practice of sustainable finance by providing actionable strategies to promote the growth and adoption of ESG structured products, supporting the transition to a more sustainable economy.
