Abstract
Musical personal recommendations. A non-negotiable in today's music consumption through streaming platforms. In this league, Spotify is the undeniable leader. This reality leads to questions regarding the regulation of online streaming platforms combined with the obligation to observe intellectual property rights, especially copyright law. The present research tends to analyse both American and European digital strategies in order to determine the way intellectual property rights are taken into consideration in said strategies. This delves into the functioning of recommender systems and the legal challenges they present for streaming platforms such as Spotify.
