Abstract
An assessment of the environment in which the banking sector operates in sub-Saharan Africa and an in-depth analysis of the opportunities and challenges characterizing the African banking system dynamic. The aim of this thesis is to identify a critical key driver -namely mobile banking- of financial inclusion and economic growth in the region, and the adequate process and variables to take into account to successfully implement it in the sub-Saharan banking industry.
