- Abstract
- Effectively managing student behaviour is an important aspect of the teaching profession, as it can significantly affect both the teaching and learning outcomes. Through a mixed-methods approach, this thesis examines reported key challenges, applied strategies and perceptions associated with behaviour management in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, focusing on secondary school pre- and in-service teachers. Findings show that teachers face several challenges related to the management of behaviour and employ a variety of strategies to address them. They also reveal that most educators perceive their practices as moderately effective in handling such issues. The thesis concludes with potential implications for practitioners within the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
