Abstract
Objective: The study aims to comprehensively evaluate the utilization and psychometric properties of ABILHAND scales in assessing manual ability across different patient groups. Methods: A systematic review was conducted using three databases, resulting in 36 articles meeting inclusion criteria. These articles encompassed Randomized Controlled Trials, validation studies, cross-sectional studies, and cohort studies. Specific tools were used to assess study quality. Results: The ABILHAND scale consistently and effectively assessed manual ability across diverse patient populations. The analysis of 3,671 participants from various age groups and regions supported the scale's reliability and validity. Conclusion: The study underscores the ABILHAND scale's reliability and validity as a valuable assessment tool for manual ability across diverse clinical contexts. By synthesizing evidence from various studies, the research provides insights into the scale's strengths, weaknesses, and applicability across different clinical scenarios.
