- Abstract
- The dissertation is dedicated to the philosopher Alexandre Kojève and his influence on contemporary French philosophy. Kojève generates interest as a researcher on the margins of the academic world, yet he has had a significant impact on the development of French philosophical anthropology, which combines phenomenology, neo-Hegelianism, and existentialism. Kojève is intriguing as a figure who played a role in processes of cultural and conceptual transfer. The hypothesis of this study is that the methodology of cultural and conceptual transfer (Russia-Germany-France) allows for describing the specificity of the formation of atheistic and anthropological discourse within French phenomenological and Marxist philosophy. Kojève played a key role in this process. Kojève diverges from the goals stated by Russian emigration. He creates an autonomous domain for his interpretation of Hegel, further distinguishing himself from the philosophy of the older generation of Russian emigration. It is precisely in this distance that Kojève gains recognition as a philosopher.
