Abstract
This end-of-study work deals with the following question: Is the B Corporation certification relevant for companies on the Belgian market today? The study also includes qualitative research on this certification for the Belgian company Univercells, which is active in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector. The B Corporation certification was created in 2006 in the United States and is the source of a real movement and a growing community of consumers and companies concerned about their social and environmental impacts. The B Corp movement only arrived in Belgium in 2012, since when the number of certified companies has been growing steadily. B Corporation is a movement in tune with the times, with the current challenges for society, which promotes strong values for change worldwide. It is a framework for companies to progress, to become a "force for good".
