Abstract

This paper takes a closer look to the Open-Innovation platform InnoCentive. Launched in 2001, this platform was the pioneer and leader during several years. But is it still the same situation now that ten years ago? Has InnoCentive been able to implement barriers to entry in order to protect its Business Model? A closer look to the Open-Innovation and Crowdsourcing literature, then a analysis of the platform rentability and to its competitors will help the author to drive some conclusion around this question.
