- Abstract
- In a world based on consumption, many waste is being generated every year in an uncontrolled manner, raising not only environmental but also economic and social questions. In response to this problem, various initiatives based on the circular economy concept are emerging, in particular to promote better waste management approaches and even “zero-waste” production and consumption systems. This research paper explores the potential for “zero-waste” in the European orange and apple juice industries, as well as the possible hurdles to their implementation.
