- Product management is a vast concept that is difficult to provide a single definition for and could vary depending on the sector. Therefore, this thesis aims at providing an explanation for this position in the technological sector through the roles, responsibilities, challenges the product managers are facing and the teams they are collaborating with. To achieve this, qualitative research and twelve interviews were conducted with product managers in this industry. They have different levels of experiences and backgrounds. The results from this research are that a pattern can be found in the way of working to create a new product, competencies, involvement or role in the customer journey and product journey, involvement with the sales and product team and in the level of responsibilities.
