- This Project Master’s thesis aims at understanding the respective missions of face-to-face, online and hybrid events, in the scope of business-to-business (B2B) exhibitions. It explains the impact of COVID-19 on the B2B events industry and how it has accelerated its digitalization. The future of the events industry is also discussed. Easyfairs, an event organizer, is taken as a case throughout the paper. One of its physical shows and four of its online events are analyzed to learn more about the missions of the different event’s formats.
