Abstract
The general objective of the theoretical part is to evaluate the state of the energy transition in the European Union and Canada, and to draw a comparison between the energy policies in both regions. This paper will focus on the transition of the composition of the energy mix in both the EU and Canada, from the dependency on fossil fuels to a greater consumption of renewable energy sources. The aim of practical part research to look into the transportation transition in Canada, and more specifically the Electric Vehicle (EV) Market, in order to understand the reasons that explain why the Canadian EV market is considerably less developed than most European Countries.
