Abstract
The present work aims to investigate the economic crisis that broke out in 2007 as well as in the Eurozone in 2010, emphasizing the cases of Greece, Spain and Italy for the impact that occurred, the development after and its treatment. The work is covered at a theoretical level and is carried out by reviewing Greek and International literature. In more detail, its structure is as follows: The first chapter will be an introduction to the European Union and its historical background to the onset of the crisis in Europe and worldwide. The stages of the crisis will be mentioned, i.e., its creation and the economies that were first affected. In the second chapter there will be a reference to Italy and a report on the reasons why it has not developed, also a presentation of the percentage of GDP in the years of the year and the problems that have arisen. The next chapter will refer to Spain and will analyze the same sectors as Italy. The fourth chapter presents Greece and the problem that exists from the economic crisis. We will analyze GDP and how the crisis affected the financial sector as well as what is the growth rate and whether investments are made. The fifth chapter will present Europe's GDP, debt and spending. Finally, we will see what measures the European Union has taken, how the problem has been dealt with and how it has dealt with the countries that have had a problem.
