Abstract
As knowledge becomes more accessible, companies are seeking consultants with expertise, knowledge and soft skills to navigate the changing landscape of the modern workplace shaped by technological advancements, globalization and evolving consumer demands. This research aims to develop a client-oriented profile of the ideal consultant, assisting Intys Consulting in understanding client expectations and implementing effective strategies. The study targets Talent Acquisition Officers, Business Development Managers and Employee Experience teams at Intys. The research methodology involves analyzing existing theories, conducting field research, collaborating with experienced consultants, distributing a high-quality questionnaire and utilizing quantitative and qualitative surveys. The objective is to create a comprehensive profile of an exceptional consultant and provide actionable recommendations for Intys. The most valued competencies for hiring an operational consultant encompass adaptability, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, effective communication, and a positive work attitude. Agile learning capacity is crucial for consultants to swiftly adapt to new situations. Technical knowledge serves as a foundational requirement for operational consultants. Consultants must excel under pressure, comprehend client needs, exhibit proactive attitudes, communicate effectively, and adapt to different environments. However, limitations include sample size, representativeness and the nuanced nature of skill importance. The study offers valuable insights into skill rankings, while future research could explore how technology shapes the expertise and skills required of operational consultants.
